For over 10 years, AirVision has dreamed of a showroom, a virtual space where industrial fans would come to life in an immersive manner. However, with technological barriers it seemed impossible. With the advent of Covid-19 and rapid technological advancements, the project finally took shape in early 2023 and is now fully operational. Every person who has experienced this virtual showroom has been struck by the long-awaited “wow” effect, making this tool a major breakthrough for technical training and awareness of all aspects of industrial fans.

The idea of the virtual showroom haunted AirVision’s dreams for a long time. With the technological barriers, AirVision had to rethink their strategy. The first step was the creation of a 3D model to allow for a deep understanding of the industrial fan, exploring different executions, from direct drives to belt or coupling drives. This 3D model was further enriched by an augmented reality (AR) experience allowing for virtual visualization of fans in any space.

3D – In-depth Exploration of Technical Configurations

The revolutionary 3D model of the virtual showroom allows for detailed exploration of the technical configurations of industrial fans. Users can choose between 4 direct drives on the motor shaft, 8 semi-elastic couplings, or 12 pulley and belt transmissions. The ability to configure the type of turbine according to specific needs and set it in motion offers a practical understanding of each component. Add to that the visualization of typical accessories such as rectangular or circular silencers on the suction side, discharge and suction dampers, for deep customization. Development of the Virtual Showroom
With the emergence of Covid-19 and the near disappearance of travel, the evidence of the virtual showroom became apparent. Project development began in 2023 to be fully operational this year. In addition to the 3D model and AR, AirVision’s virtual showroom extends to virtual reality (VR). The showroom, hosted on the Spatial platform, offers an unparalleled immersive experience.

Augmented reality (AR) transforms the user experience by allowing to scan the QR code and virtually place the fan on any table or shelf. This practical immersion goes beyond simple visualization, offering concrete interaction with the product. Users can explore the details and features of the fan in their own environment, providing contextual understanding.
Virtual Reality: Immersive 3D Experience

AirVision’s virtual showroom offers an immersive virtual reality (VR) experience via the “Spatial” platform. VR glasses holders can participate in 3D or VR remote presentations, offering a total dive into the details of industrial fans. For those without VR glasses, two options are available: an in-person visit with glasses provided by AirVision, or a virtual tour from a PC, although the immersion is different but still enriching.
